Rosbank (Switzerland) SA is a wholly owned subsidiary of Rosbank Moscow, which is one of Russia's ten largest private-sector banks. Established in Geneva under the corporate name of Banque Unexim (Switzerland) SA in 1995, the Bank changed its name following the merger between its founding shareholder and Rosbank at the end of 2001. It was a banking subsidiary of the Interros Group, a leading Russian investment company, until 2008, when Interros sold its controlling interest to Société Générale, which now holds 64% of the Bank's capital.
